New Features: Delete and Edit Your Work
More new features to report:
DELETE BUTTON
Now you can delete any unpurchased submissions in your Completed Work folder. To do this:
- Click on the submission title and the submission screen will display your text or photo.
- You'll now notice a big red DELETE button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Simply click the DELETE button, then click OK when prompted.
- The submission will be removed from your Completed Work folder.
EDIT BUTTON
Ever wish you could go back and edit work you've already submitted for an assignment that's still open? Now you can:
- Click on the submission title in your Completed Work folder and the submission screen will display your text or photo.
- You'll now notice a gray EDIT button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Simply click the EDIT button, then click OK when prompted.
- This action will return you to your Write page (for articles) or Upload Photos page (for photos), where you can edit your work.
- If you choose to save the work (to continue working on before the deadline), the submission will be filed in your Work in Progress folder until you finally submit it.
- If you make your edits and submit it again, your work will return to your Completed Work folder.
We hope these new features result in an easier user experience for you. We know there are many more enhancements to add, and we're working tirelessly to prioritize and implement them as quickly as we can during this beta phase.
Thanks for your continued patience! We'll have more good news to report very soon.

(page 1 of 1)I, and some other Seed writers I know, are not finding the red delete button when we click on the title of articles we want to remove.
Thanks.
Hi Jolie -- Are you trying to remove only rejected submissions in your Completed Work folder? This may be something we need to alert our tech team about. Thanks for letting me know.
I need to know how long after you submit an article, does Seed contact you and let you know the status.
I submitted an article 2 days ago and still no response or status.
For Photographer Submissions. I don't know if I'm doing this right but after doing this I'm guessing we don't hit the claim button until we are actually wanting to upload an image?
I would like to be able to hit the claim button on something I want and then upload the photo at a later date.
Right now when I do that it saves it as an article to work on later instead of the photo upload that you get when you first hit claim.
That way I can keep what I want to shoot straight.

Hi Kristi,
Thanks for the update. The new delete feature is great (and definitely cleans up the work space)! On articles and photos that say "Removed from System," the button is not there. I think this may be a glitch, but not sure.
Lastly, I hope the influx of new writers brings good talent to SEED. I'm having a blast here and can't wait to see what's in store!

Hi Cherrisa. You're right that this feature could be more synched up with how the article submission process works. However, there is a workaround while we work on a more efficient solution.
You can simply upload any photo to serve as a placeholder and save your assignment to your Work in Progress folder. Then, when you re-open it, you can continue to upload additional images, and then delete the placeholder photo before submitting your final assignment.
Hope this little workaround helps!

Yes, rejected articles that I would like to remove do not show a red delete button. Thanks.
Hi, I tried to find the edit and remove button as well and nothing. I would really like to edit a submission I wrote yesterday. Thanks for your time!
When do we know if our articles are rejected ? It's been 6 business days and no answer .
Thanks for any info and a button to request information would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jami. Our editors have up to 5-7 business days after the deadline date to let you know the status of your work. Hope this helps!
